About the location - Your base for the week will be the Taybet Zaman, an 18th centure stone Bedouin village that has been beautifully restored and converted to a spectacular hotel. The rooms are old village houses, each different, and all are furnished with Jordanian antiques and handicrafts. The hotel includes a traditional Turkish hamman (bath) among other amenities.

Day 1 Sunday - D
You'll be met at the Queen Alia airport in Amman and transfer to the Taybet Zaman Hotel in Petra. After a short rest, you'll enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 Monday - B/L/D
This morning after breakfast, you'll be met at the hotel by your guide and spend an unforgettable day touring the Nabatean City. You'll enter by the mysterious mile long Siq and visit the Treasury, the Street of Facades, the Theatre, Byzantine Church and Museum. Lunch today will be at the Basin restaurant within the City of Petra. After a short rest, you'll head to Petra Kitchens for your 1st cooking class.
Day 3 Tuesday - B/L/D
This morning you'll return to the city of Petra with visits to the High Place of Sacrifice, Wadi Farasa, the Great Temple and the Royal Tombs. You'll return back to Wadi Musa in time for a relaxing visit to a Turkish bath before your 2nd cooking class and dinner.
Day 4 Wednesday - B/D
Enjoy a morning at leisure to relax by the pool, do some shopping or return to Petra for a private visit. This afternoon, you'll get to accompany the chef to the Wadi Musa souk to purchase the ingredients for the evening's menu. A great way to pick up some Arabic phrases and sharpen your bargaining skills. You'll return to the kitchen for your 3rd cooking course and dinner.
Day 5 Thursday - B/L/D
This morning you'll take a guided trip to the magnificent desert of Wadi Rum, described by T.E. Lawrence as "vast, echoing and God-like". You'll spend the morning on a jeep tour exploring the bright red rolling sand dunes - moonlike rock formations and natural rock bridges. Before returning to Petra, you'll have a chance to find a shady spot and enjoy a picnic lunch in the desert. You'll return back to Wadi Mousa for your 4th and final cooking lesson and farewell dinner.
Day 6 Friday - B/L/D
After breakfast, you'll depart by private car for the Dead Sea. Along the way you'll visit the St. George Church to see the Madaba Map, then make your way directly to the Dead Sea Movenpick. This afternoon you'll have the chance to float in the Dead Sea, cover yourselves with the therapeutic mud that is so famous and just relax after a hectic and strenuous week in Petra. Dinner tonight will be at the hotel.
Day 7 Saturday - B
After breakfast at the hotel you'll transfer to the Queen Alia Airport for departure.
We'll arrange for late check-out for anyone who requires it.
This trip is unescorted and available all year long.
